The Department of Development & Operational IT (D.O.I.T) is one of the enablers for opportunities at IKEA Communications. Technology innovations change society and people’s lives. This goes specifically for the rapid development in the area of communication, which has a big impact on how people communicate and consume. Therefore D.O.I.T is not just a support function at IKEA Communications, but part of our core business with the purpose to integrate technology development with our business.

As a Business analyst, you identify, document and manage business requirements for solutions used at IKEA Communications, so that the solutions meets the needs and expectations of the users, and other internal or external stakeholders. You enable people to articulate needs and the rationale for change and describe the solutions that can deliver value. 

In the role you will be responsible for:

• Being the main I.T. speaking counterpart (SPOC) towards the business related to I.T. requirements gathering to support development and Change Requests.
• Identify improvements by analysis, challenge and document all stakeholder needs and detailed business requirements. For a technical service this includes functional and non-functional requirements.
• Challenge and assure quality of stakeholder needs, business requirements and solution alternatives in order to identify consequences and reduce risks. Support solution evaluation with identified business requirements.
• Support the I.T. Development Team in planning and executing the development sprints and keeping the business stakeholders informed about progress.
• Support project management in setting up a business analysis approach that is appropriate for the chosen project. Support business in creation of business blueprint and managing dependencies relating to processes, information and solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of solution documentation in co-operation with process/business teams and IT vendors. Contribute to the creation of the ‘learning offer’ for the solution including training materials and delivery of training.
• Provide inputs for solution area business continuity plan and provide cross-functional support

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Good understanding of business and Media production processes.
• Excellent analytical skills - being able to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences out of them.

• Capable communicator, a good listener with the ability to transfers information/knowledge
• Capability to easily adapt to changes - being able to accept and work with change.
• Capability to analyze the level of IT knowledge within the end-user organization and by that minimizing the communication gap between end-users and IT.

• Capability to see the big picture as much as the ability to deeply investigate details.

• Experience in Process Modelling.

• General knowledge of IT and software development.
