Job Description

Division Purchase in IKEA Industry is looking for a

Project Leader for ONEA IKEA Transport (temporary assignment, approx. 18 months)

The main task of the ONE IKEA Transport project is to handover commercial responsibility of IKEA Industry’s transports to IKEA Transport to reduce Industry’s cost overall to further lower IKEA home furnishing prices, and to secure IWAY on transports. To deliver this, we need you!

The main scope of this positions includes to:

  • Lead the project within set frames as agreed with steering group
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of routes according to agreed scope 
  • Co-ordinate the initiative to secure Dimension, Weight, Packaging (DWP) in the business system for direct materials
  • Prepare the routine to handle price updates
  • Co-ordinate Transport system implementation and explore the possibility of integration to existing business system 
  • Co-ordinate the development of reporting system for Spend, Price Development and Service performance of existing Transport Suppliers
  • Build trustful relations with dedicated project teams from IKEA Industry factories, Business Process & IT teams and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously communicate the progress of the project

Qualifications

  • Have a solid understanding of how to lead and manage change
  • Understand the importance of stakeholder management
  • Can work with remote management set-up
  • Share the IKEA values
  • Are interested in building relationships with people from different units and cultures
  • Are pro-active in sharing information, knowledge and experience
  • Can communicate well (written and verbally) in English
  • Have high self-drive and at the same time ability to work in a team.

The position requires both national and international traveling.
