Job Description

Right now we’re looking for a Quality Specialist Who can develop competence and capabilities, support execution in Category and New business and verify compliance against requirements, standards and ways of working to deliver products satisfying customer expectations in all aspects of democratic design. That who will also sharing specialist knowledge about the product requirements in IKEA of Sweden (IoS) Specifications and support the Business teams and Suppliers on how to interpret and how to implement these requirements in the daily operations. As well, to follow up and verify that products comply with these requirements

In this role you will:

  • Lead gate check before first delivery and secure four eyes principals.
  • Plan and perform audits according to Manage IKEA quality GO/NOGO standard working instruction.
  • Based on audit result, support the business teams and suppliers in implementing the containment and corrective actions.)
  • Lead, by category appointed, projects with support from business team in case of quality deviations to support problem identification and come to resolution
  • Lead global/local projects related to quality
  • Support development and implementation of common working methods and tools locally as well as globally for the Engineering & Quality matrix
  • Responsible for audits and assessments of internal working methods and processes according to the quality part in purchasing manual
  • Support introduction of new co-workers in PLA for common working methods and tools
  • Coach and train business teams and suppliers in the IKEA quality GO/NOGO standard as well as in utilization of problem solving tools (5 why, root cause analysis etc) in the daily work and specifically related to quality deviations

Qualifications

To be successful in this role:

  • Very good knowledge of customer needs and expectations regarding function, customer friendliness and critical to quality
  • Familiar with the quality related parts of IKEA Purchasing Manual
  • Very good knowledge of GO/NOGO requirements including Special process appendices and related IT systems
  • Deep knowledge of different Quality tools as 5 why, FMEA, fish bone, root cause analysis, statistics knowledge
  • Very good knowledge to lead audits and auditing skills
  • Good knowledge of IKEA Strategic Landscape, especially the Purchasing and Quality for Life Strategies and the IKEA Business model for growth
  • Good knowledge of the product requirements, standards, test methods and documentation system (PDOC)
  • Good understanding of Category and suppliers daily operational activities
  • Knowledge of production and operation processes
  • Specific Food related competence for individuals working in this area:
  • Good understanding and experience in Food production processes and quality assurance in the value chain
  • Good understanding of Food Safety management systems and risks associated with Food
  • Very good knowledge of HACCP
  • Good communications skill with fluent English
