Job Description

You will be part of the Customs team within Solution Area Order & Delivery in Business Solutions Range & Supply, which today consists of 12 co-workers. Today’s solutions are a mix of home built and standard solutions. Many of current solutions will be replaced by a standard solution through a global customs platform project.

The Customs team manages and develops global solutions that supports users working with IKEA customs processes for import and export of IKEA’s goods flow - passing country boarders, paying customs taxes and managing declarations towards the authorities. 

You will be one of the core competences within Solution Management working close together with Solution Owners and Solution Architects developing the business solutions. 

As Business Analyst will you mainly be:

•    Responsible for identifying improvements by elicit, analyse, challenge and document all stakeholder needs and detailed business requirements in accordance with the blueprint(s).

•    Responsible for identifying the business consequences and risks for solution alternatives for process, organisation and service with business modelling.

•    Responsible for challenging and assuring quality of stakeholder needs, business requirements and to support the evaluation of solution alternatives with identified business requirements.

•    Responsible for setting up a business analysis approach and plan, to support the selected business development activities (project & releases).

•    Consulted in the creation of the business blueprint and in managing dependencies relating to processes, information and solutions.

•    Consulted in definition and validation of high level & low level design for business development activities (project & releases) in cooperation with the solution architect and vendor resources.

•    Responsible for reviewing test plans and test cases to ensure compliance to the requirements. Consulted in the planning and execution of testing activities.

•    Responsible for handing over requirement related artefacts to Operations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to: 
•    Have solid knowledge and experience in business analysis, requirements engineering process and configuration management
•    Be good at facilitating, planning and managing workshops and activities
•    You are persistent and good at asking the right questions 
•    Have ability to extract information, find patterns, see new opportunities and possibilities in an analytical and very structured manner
•    You can work in a fast paced environment, without compromising on the quality of your work
•    Be excellent in listening, have good communication skills and an ability to describe complex scenarios in a structured, comprehensive way for the intended audience 
•    You are able to interact and communicate with strong stakeholders confidently – understand them and their needs as well as making them understand you
•    Have ability to work with the big picture and in small details
•    Have good understanding of project and software lifecycle management
•    Be structured and disciplined to meet deadlines 
•    Fluent in English, both spoken and written

About Solution Area Order & Delivery 
Solution Area Order & Delivery supports more than 15.000 users throughout supply chain in the areas of orders, import and export, trade regulation, delivery & customer delivery. 

We manages the Customs portfolio of all initiatives with an IT component and lead and develop current and new solutions connected to the customs process. This is done in projects, major enhancements initiatives or in a continuous improvements work. We also support users with communication, learning and subject matter expertise. In running business solutions there's a continuous work ongoing to improve the solutions. These improvements are implemented in so called releases. 

The Customs area is a dynamic and exciting area, with frequent need of implementing legal changes in the solutions. The demand on data quality is high, due to legal restrictions and regulations to be compliant towards customs authorities. Facing risk of getting penalties and removal of authorizations to do e.g. simplified import and export clearance if the figures are not correct. There is also a high demand on the solutions to be up running, else we risk to slow down or stop IKEA’s goods flow. We need to keep high quality in whatever we do.

We work in an international environment which could lead to some travelling.
