Job Description

As a Requirement Structure Specialist you will be part of the Requirement Management team, being an important stakeholder in the development and approval of new and updated product requirements. You will lead improvement projects within IKEA requirement process as well as supporting the requirement development teams in the daily operation. 

About the assignment

- Lead improvement projects within the IKEA requirement process related to product requirement management and information management;
- Being the link between the business and IT-solutions to secure effective and efficient ways of working;
- Support the business as a subject matter expert within the area of requirement management and information management;
- Support requirement development teams in the daily operation with requirement structure and applicability;
- Review new and updated IKEA product requirements, including consequence analysis for the business;
- Support the approval and governance of new and updated product requirements; 
- Set pre-requisites to follow implementation and compliance of product requirements throughout the value chain;
- Follow up the IKEA organizations’ and suppliers’ understanding and satisfaction regarding quality and effectiveness. Report and when needed implement corrective actions.

To succeed in this role we see that you have experience and knowledge within the area of requirement management and/or information management, as well as experience in product requirements, both from a customer as well as a legal point of view. You have lead improvement projects, including change management and is not afraid of working in the unknown. You have a natural curiosity, combined with problem solving, and you thrive having the business and customer in focus. You have the ability to work in teams and like to share your knowledge, you can coach and motivate others and deliver results according to plan. 

For IKEA Co-workers who are interested in applying, we see that you have a comprehensive knowledge about the IKEA requirement process and requirement structure; handling IKEA product requirements from IKEA of Sweden, via Purchasing to suppliers. 

You have experience from operational handling of the IKEA product requirements at either IoS HFBs or Purchasing, or both. It’s an advantage to have a good understanding of the IKEA product development and the supply processes as well as the IKEA product requirements and the IT systems handling this information.

This is a permanent position based in Älmhult, an inspirational working environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö, and an IKEA shuttle bus run back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
