Right now we're looking for an HR Manager who can be a strong contributor to make IKEA Communications become an even greater place to work tomorrow. Someone who enjoys being close to the business as well as helping people to grow and develop.

As HR Manager you are accountable for bringing people and business together to create excellent and sustainable performance. In this role you will actively contribute to the growth of business by ensuring that the HR strategies are translated into action by working in partnership with all businesses and other support functions. 

The HR department at IKEA Communications supports our managers in the People core processes at IKEA, Building Competence, Talent, Succession & Diversity, Great Place to Work and Leadership & Inclusion. In the HR Department at IKEA Communications you will find a small but diverse team, HR managers and HR generalists working together to deliver our HR-expertise in order to develop a strong collaboration with business. You will report to the ICOM HR & Competence manager and working closely with managers and co-workers in Business areas or Competence areas at ICOM. 

The assignment will include:

  • Influencing management team/department manager to continuously develop leadership capabilities within their function according to business needs
  • Supporting managers in leading business and people together with our leadership approach and leadership capabilities leading the way
  • Supporting managers in translating business needs into competence needs to address the needed competence in the future
  • Together with the managers secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers in taking the lead to develop talents for today and tomorrow
  • Acting as a good example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values and together with the manager’s help to safeguard and promote the IKEA Culture
  • Ensuring that all areas at ICOM work with the labor relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and laws
  • Responsibility for union negotiations and that we are maintaining a great relationship with the unions
  • Responsibility for the rehabilitation process and working environment trainings
  • Developing, together with the HR team, the Great Place to Work Strategy for total ICOM and implementing the strategy across ICOM 
  • Actively working to develop and maintain ICOM as an activity based workplace and being chair for the Activity based workplace concept group 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we think you should be motivated by leading business through people, demonstrating leadership capabilities and acting as a role model for the IKEA values in your daily work. You have a strong belief in the individual´s potential and their ability to grow and develop. You have the ability to shift between being strategic, tactical and operational when needed as well as being goal and solution oriented. 

You also have:

  • Leadership experience - always leading guided by the IKEA values
  • Working environment knowledge with great place to work mind-set
  • Experience from adding value to business strategies and having the ability to translate business needs into competence needs
  • Business understanding and proven ability to have made a difference by positively influencing the business directly
  • Ability to identify the need for and drive change within the organization
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trustful relations
  • Knowledge of Local labor market situation and trends, also with excellent union negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English both oral and writing
