What's this job about?

As Project Leader for Made Cellulose you will have the responsibility to drive your assignment throughout the entire value chain, from product developers and suppliers all the way to our customers and co-workers. Your job is about establishing and developing a diverse suppliers’ base which meet the needs of IKEA and its customers. You will as well optimize IKEA’s value chain for renewable and recycled raw materials that can be enable better products at lower total cost for the many people. By doing this, you will secure the business objectives according to IKEA Purchasing Strategy and deliver towards the decided long term Material Direction.

More exact, you will lead and drive the introduction of Made Cellulose fibers in the IKEA Range and our Supply Chain.

For this, you will need to create the right prerequisites for IKEA’s suppliers and business development teams to efficiently source sustainably produced Made Cellulose fibers at the right quality and at the lowest cost possible. Moreover, you will secure that the final products containing Made Cellulose fiber can be produced efficiently. Our Home Furnishing Business (HFB) are a same important stakeholder in this work, reason for which you will need to work closely to them – understand their needs and demands, same as promote to them the available possibilities for Made Cellulose fiber.

This role is reporting to the global Material & Innovation Deployment Manager in Category Area Textiles.

As Project Leader Made Cellulose, you will be responsible to:

  • Drive increased usage of Made Cellulose fiber in the IKEA Range through working with the Home Furnishing Business organizations and the Product Development Teams.

  • Identify and secure sourcing of Made Cellulose fibers that can deliver towards IKEA's cost, quality and sustainability targets.

  • Anchor and align new ways of working with concerned purchasing categories and secure that IKEA suppliers source from nominated sources

  • Secure documentation of knowledge and insights of using Made Cellulose fibers that can be used for continues improvement and further development of the IKEA capabilities of using Made Cellulose fiber.

  • Design implementation strategies to reach set-targets of fiber implementation in a timely manner

  • Actively partake in the work of designing ways of working to drive the transformation towards usage of more Made Cellulose fibers and secure that data is collected to keep track of the implementation towards set targets

  • Actively work with troubleshooting to avoid that similar challenges in the future becomes problems summarize to put clarity on future fiber demands.

  • Build a network of technically skilled IKEA colleagues that can support with technical knowhow when needed.

Qualifications

To be a successful Project Leader, you should find yourself in this:

  • You hold a strong business understanding and documented project management skills.
  • You are development oriented and open to new ways of working.
  • You enjoy when many stakeholders are involved and when work is intense.
  • You hold a strong drive for business and delivering results, alongside with a strong orientation for sustainability.
  • You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Traveling in this position will usually take 25% of your work-time.
