IKEA Customs Service Centre secure the operational customs work and acts as global super users for the import and export declarations used in 15 European countries. Our task is to keep the customer in mind at all stages of our distribution, so our customers will find what they came for in the store, and they will receive their complete delivery, neat and clean, undamaged and on time. Customs Services Centre report to IKEA Supply AG in Pratteln were the line manager is located.

Right Now we are looking for a Customs administrator, someone who can develop the business and deliver results. That someone always find better ways and enable change.

As a Customs administrator, you’re able to document and communicate in a clear way, regarding manuals and working methods. You also need to create structure, plan and prioritize to deliver assignments with high quality. Analyse with focus on details and deviations and communicate in a respectful way both within the team and with stakeholders, is this could be something for you? 

The assignment will include:

  • Secure efficient and effective handling of incoming documents and certificates (scan, archive, control and register, follow up and take actions on deviations) by following and update working
  • Act as a competence center towards other units within this field.
  • Contribute to a good work environment via supporting cross-functionally within Customs Service Centre.
  • Take responsibility in your own development via eg. Reaching goals in Development plan.
  • Contribute to reach your teams and the departments goals.
  • Secure contact and support with relevant stakeholder eg, Suppliers, IKEA units.
  • Contribute to the development of our systems and working with test cases for improvements.
  • Maintain competence about which information are used in the systems applications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role

  • 3+years working experience from import operations or Logistics Company with logistic education background or related area.
  • Be able to create structure, work with details and prioritize to deliver assignments with high quality and low cost.
  • Be able to drive, implement and live in change
  • Work independent as well as in a team, quick learner
  • Fluent in both speaking and writing in English, good communication
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office tool
