Can you really reach out to the whole world, while working in a tranquil idyll in the middle of nowhere? In Älmhult you can. Älmhult, Sweden is home to IKEA Range & Supply. IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply all IKEA channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 400 stores IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world with the turnover of 38,3 BEUR. The total range is almost 10,000 products. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

We are now looking for a new Range & Design Manager who will lead the Range & Design function and lead the development of IKEAs identity and uniqueness. 

The Range & Design function creates, leads and communicates the IKEA Range Strategy and secures that the IKEA product range, our identity, will fulfil the commitment for creating a better everyday life for the many people. The organisation’s assignment is focused on the strategic development of the IKEA Range and, as such, provides specific competencies in design, home furnishing, communication and range development. 

The function acts as a matrix organisation setting directions, priorities, strategies and ways of working for our Business Areas.   

About the assignment
As Range & Design Manager you are leading the strategic development of IKEAs Identity, our range, through the Range & Design function and its management team. You ensure a strong IKEA range offer and communication of our range in all channels in accordance with our IKEA key values. For us this translates into the aspects of Democratic Design – good product design in function, form, low price, quality and sustainability.

You are responsible for IKEAs Range and Design direction and what that means in the future, both to our brand but also for our consumers, in a digital and ever changing world. 

You report to Managing Director for Range & Supply, Peter van der Poel.

About you
You are a values driven senior leader who have a true passion for design, home furnishing and people’s life at home, both here and now and in the future. You have the experience of growing global brands through a product range and have a track record of understanding how to build a strong range offer in all consumer channels. 
To collaborate cross functionally comes naturally to you and you are known for leading organisations through its people. You can easily and like to inspire and build engagement in people both internally and externally through your way of communicating. Furthermore we believe that you have/are:

• Experience of leading a diverse team of strong senior leaders
• Experience of being part of an organisations management team and leading a global business
