About the assignment
The journey ahead in Lighting and IKEA Home Smart is very exciting. We aim to be the world leader in lighting and smart solutions for life at home, to drive extraordinary growth, to inspire and enable people to increase convenience and atmosphere and to live a more sustainable life at home. On this journey our supply chain is a vital enabler. 

As Supply Chain Manager within Lighting and IKEA Home Smart you will be working in a fast paced and inspiring environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world in and outside of IKEA. You have the main responsibility to secure availability at lowest total cost for all products within the Business Area through planning, monitoring and balancing sales and supply on both strategic and tactical level. In addition, you will be responsible for establishing the sourcing agreement with all categories connected to the Business Area. You also secure that you have the right supply chain competencies to be able to perform according to our plans.

In practical terms this means being able to put together an offer based on the reality of how people live at home and how people shop on- and offline, combined with the best capabilities and capacities in production, always fit for the future and always supporting our planet positive direction.

You report to the Business Area Manager and are part of the management team.

About you
We believe that have several years of broad Supply Chain experience together with great knowledge of leading people and business on a global arena. You are a values driven leader who are known to let people grow. You coach, motivate and drive others by setting a clear direction and communicate this in a transparent way. 

Your problem solving skills and your ability to combine working on a strategic level while acting on an operational/tactical level will be put to the test. As well as your ability to look beyond and the ability to lead business with a holistic view always with the customer, supplier, total IKEA and total cost development in mind. You are capable of building trust and relationships, in order to create preconditions for building long-term business partnerships – as it will be a key asset. You have been creating and implementing long-term strategic plans in the supply chain area and are used to provide a clear direction and following up goals. You are result oriented, have a lot of energy and the desire to constantly find new ways to develop yourself and your team. You are able to make things happen through others!
