Range & Supply Communication lead communication to enable better business and build trust for IKEA as a brand, company and employer. We enable better business by creating commitment and understanding for our business priorities and we set pre-conditions for colleagues to lead with communication.

We are now looking for a Strategic Communicator who wants to team up with us, realise our ambitions and take the next step into the future! 

Your main responsibility will be to lead communication and change for various business priorities and you will belong to the Internal Communication team, a group of highly professional people with diverse communication backgrounds. 

Job description
In the role as Strategic Communicator, you act as a business partner and coach with the task to secure an effective use of communication as an enabler to reach the business and people objectives as well as create trust in IKEA. You lead internal communication assignments within IKEA Range & Supply in order to create engagement and to make sure that co-workers can take conscious business decisions based on relevant, easy understandable and accessible information. You support the development of a communicative and transparent organisation and you create understanding and commitment for our direction and business priorities.

About the job

  • You are responsible to lead and implement communication and change for business priorities in IKEA Range & Supply designed to inform, support and engage co-workers across IKEA
  • You define, plan, execute and follow up effective and strategic communication to ensure co-worker engagement
  • You coach and advice leaders to plan and deliver the most effective, appropriate and transparent communication as well as to strengthen their leadership through communication
  • You create a structured and planned process for change management and communication together with leaders and HR & Competence that engages co-workers in finding ways to leave the old and embrace the new 
  • You brief production partners and quality assure communication packages
  • You facilitate dialogue, encourage involvement and contribute to an open and sharing climate

Qualifications
You have several years of experience from working with strategic communication and change management and a relevant education is a prerequisite. You have a strong understanding of internal communication and how to tailor effective communication that engages global targets groups and enable the business. 

You are a good listener with great coaching skills and have the ability to consult and challenge leaders and other stakeholders to really understand the communication need and to come up with the best solution.

You have both the ability and willingness to work on a strategic and operational level and you are a compelling communicator both verbally and in writing. You communicate in a down to earth way with a simple tone of voice. Of course, you are excellent at inspiring others and can turn a complex reality into a clear and inspiring message. 

You build trustworthy relationships, you find ways to make things happen and like to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. You stay calm when you get assignments with short notice and tight deadlines. 

You are an ambassador and role model of the IKEA brand, culture and values and you have a genuine interest in people’s everyday life at home. IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment with colleagues from all over the world and therefore you need to be fluent in spoken and written English.

The position is a permanent position located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg three times a day.
