On top of that, we churn out a ton of content for social media, not to mention motion media and 3D work so cutting edge that it makes the folks in California sit up and take notice. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.
Right now we're looking for an HR Generalist. Someone with a passion for business and people and to see them grow. In the HR Department at IKEA Communications you will find HR managers and HR generalists working together to deliver our HR-expertise in order to develop a strong collaboration with business.
About the assignment
As HR Generalist you will work in close collaboration with IT, HR, leaders and co-workers, supporting in the introduction of new co-workers . You will also be responsible for helping to improve ICOM's employer brand internally and to make the new co-workers to experience what it means to be part of a Great Place to Work from the very beginning.
The assignment will include:
- Responsible for the administration connected to the on boarding, introduction and off boarding of new co-workers as well as introduction of new co-workers.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the “welcome package” for all co-workers as well as ensuring and monitoring that the co-workers participate/take part in all the activities planned for them.
- Manage all HR connected administration such as different lists and forms
- Provide support and advice to co-workers and managers with regards to the HR processes and tools, co-worker relations, development, employment, labour laws, procedures and internal policies.
- Support our managers in the People core processes at ICOM, Building Competence, Talent, Succession & Diversity, Great Place to Work and Leadership & Inclusion
- Take responsibility and leadership for projects and other tasks within the HR field as assigned.
- Contribute to the positioning of IKEA and ICOM as a great place to work.
- Be a good example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA, safeguarding and promoting the IKEA Culture.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we think you are self-reliant and motivated with the ability to work successfully in a team environment, collaborating closely with peers and a wider network of colleagues as well as independently. You are experienced within the HR or relevant field. The IKEA values steer your way of working. You have:
- Interest in developing within Human Resources department.
- Good administrative and organizational skills.
- Interest in the digital landscape and basic knowledge of IT, as well as proven knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent people skills and ability to create confidence and build relations
- Good communication and facilitation skills
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
Please be aware that this is a temporary position (Maternity Leave cover) with 18 months contract, ending up on Jan 20th, 2020.
