Job Description

The tax function for IKEA of Sweden AB and a number of group companies has recently been incorporated into the organisation of IKEA of Sweden. By doing this IKEA of Sweden needs to build its own tax competence, where you will take a big part in enforcing and maintaining set structures for these businesses. You will report to the Finance & Administration Manager.

About the assignment
Your assignment will be to lead and coordinate tax matters both for in-direct and direct tax, mainly for IKEA of Sweden and its subsidiaries. You act as a support to the business in tax related topics as well stay in close collaboration with Group Tax and Finance colleagues and external tax consultants. You will also advice and support the local finance organization on any relevant tax matters. Providing input to relevant stakeholders on opportunities to optimize the existing legal structure and business set-up and how to structure new investments. Furthermore your main tasks will be:

•    Manage country tax in line with relevant Group policies, standards and business plans.
•    Tax Control Framework: Ensuring control in respect for Direct and Indirect tax obligations, risks and opportunities by implementing and monitoring Inter IKEA Group Tax Control Framework.
•    Compliance/Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely filing of the Corporate Income Tax returns, VAT, financial and statutory reporting. Manage local Transfer Pricing documentation in liaison with R&S Tax Team and Group Tax.
•    Tax automation: Ensuring accurate and compliant output of automated tax relevant solutions. Alerting and identifying any potential areas for improvement.
•    Tax Audits: Handling tax audits and liaising with Tax Authorities.

Qualifications

We are now looking for a Tax Manager who has the experience of working with indirect and direct tax for a large global corporation, either in-house or as tax consultant, and with a main emphasis on Swedish tax legislation. Furthermore we want you to have following skills and capabilities:

At least 5 years of proven working experience of Tax management.

  • Applied in depth knowledge of Swedish indirect and/or direct tax legislation and general knowledge and understanding of Swedish wage withholding tax and property tax.
  • You are a person who continuously strives for excellence and simplicity, enabling and developing growth potentials and sustaining long-term profitability.
  • A true stakeholder manager who can handle many different touchpoints and connection both within and outside the organisation.
