About the job

As the Data Steward, you are responsible within the Home Smart business to structure and standardise digital connected product range information on an operational and tactical level to enable high quality range decisions and support growth. You work with securing accurate and relevant product data range information through the IKEA Home Smart value chain and by that add value for customers, co-workers and suppliers. Working with information management within IKEA Home Smart across the business team

About the assignment

Your main responsibilities as Data Steward are:
• Handle operational requests related to Information and Data Management (e.g. clarification of ownership and data sources;  investigation, analyse, coordinate)
• Handle internal and external requests for search, update and deletion of data
• Provide support with business and root cause analysis
• Ensuring the integrity of data within all sources
• Secure that information is available in line with the needs from all stakeholders in the value chain
• Establish consistent data quality acceptance criteria and business rules for validation
• Ensure compliance to legal rules, IKEA policies and standards
• Identify potential new data quality issues by analysing the results of data profiling and monitoring
• Measuring the performance of KPIs and report on result
• Support in communicating the information definition, business rules and information usage to the stakeholders
• Escalating data related risks as appropriate
• Support and educate in information governance matters and global directives

About you

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of Digital and connected product Information Model together with an interest in building structure and wow within an growing business team. You are great in creating clarity in a complex context and you have a strong drive to use communication as a tool to lead business and people forward. You are used to working with project management, how to establish ways of working, and how that is related to change. You have an understanding of the data information process, product/solution life cycle management business rules and basic knowledge in business analytics.
The ability to lead your working area with pragmatism, decisiveness and a problem solving approach is obvious, as well as the skill to think ahead, plan and analyse. You are team-oriented and straight forward, having great networking skills. You are passionate about being part of a changing business based on values, contributing to a better everyday life for the many people, and you lead by example in everything you do. Fluent verbal and written English is a prerequisite.
