About the job

As a Business Analyst with focus on multi-channel, your role will be to contribute to the business priorities by enabling analytical and fact-based decision-making. Since business performance is the scope for this role your focus will be on business and the interpretation of numbers to business reality. You will analyse complex business challenges and scenarios and formulate insights and analyses in a clear and simple way to meet business and receiver needs. As we are on the journey of becoming a multi-channel retailer, you will be instrumental in leading the development of how we are to analyse, navigate and steer business in the future. In this role you will be reporting to Business Information Manager Monica Giselson-Olsson.

About the assignment

Your main responsibilities as Business Analyst with focus on multi-channel are:
• Responsible to monitor, analyse and follow up business performance (both year cycle based and ad hoc) within the assigned performance area to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks. Present and share in a way that is understandable and actionable.
• Share insights and provide modelling and analytical support to facilitate data-driven and fact-based decision making,
• Perform analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business
• Contribute to business development and innovation by analysing business consequences of different scenarios, through scenario planning, modelling, risk assessment and contingency planning.
• Provide expertise in data analysis and communication of quantitative data
• Co-develop intelligence and analytical tools together with the Business Intelligence team

About you

We believe you have a sharp analytic & logical mind-set and great problem solving skills. You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms, acting as a translator between what is technical and business reality. You have great interest for business and specifically how the IKEA business model works and contribute to a better everyday life for the many people. You see the importance of the visual design of data through reports or presentations and to express the message in a clear and inspiring way. 

In the role of Business Analyst we expect you to have:
- Experience from similar data analyst role focusing on business requirements
- An academic degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics or equivalent
- Technical competence to perform more advanced analytics and experience from performing analysis with large datasets
- Ability to lead development and change management of new approaches of analysis and navigation in order to contribute in moving IKEA into becoming a multi-channel retailer
- Experience from working in a multi-channel environment and an understanding of the complexity and opportunities it offers. This would entail understanding of the customer journey in different interfaces and multitude of product fulfilment flows.
