Product Requirement Team Manager for New Business and Special Areas - IKEA of Sweden

IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduce 2,000 new products in the IKEA stores. The total range is almost 10,000 products. The Product Requirements & Compliance (PR&C) department leads and designs processes to secure sellable products. We define product requirements and enable verification and monitoring of compliance. We strengthen competence regarding safety and health requirements during product development and product improvement.

We are looking for our new Product requirement Team Manager for New Business and Special Areas.

Job Description

As a Product Requirement Team Manager you will lead a team of Specialists developing product requirement based on regulations and market requirements in all existing and new sales markets. You work in close co-operation with product development to set pre-conditions for our business teams to secure safe and healthy products that complies with market requirements and that fulfills or even exceeds customer expectations in all our sales markets.

More specifically you will
• Lead and develop the team of Market Requirement Specialist within the area of green plants, producer responsibility, candles, legal product information and new product types.
• Lead the work to secure correct product requirements and verification methods within your area of responsibility.
• Work in close co-operation with product development and other stakeholders throughout the value chain to set pre-conditions for a safe and compliant range.
• Identify and lead improvement projects within IKEA requirement and compliance process.
• Represent IKEA in regulatory issues in external forums
• Member of relevant decision forums related to product requirement.

Qualifications

We offer a challenging role where you will work on a global arena with the possibility to lead and develop both yourself, your team and the business. You are an experienced leader. You have experience from regulatory work and product requirement/compliance in an international perspective. It is an advantage if you have experience from product development of consumer products.

To succeed you need to be able to navigate in a complex international organization, taking leadership and responsibility within your assignment. You have the ability to communicate in a clear and simple way with experts and non-experts. You are driven by a strong curiosity and have a desire to find better ways together with others, always with the business and our customers in focus. Since we are working in an international environment you need to be strong in communicating in English.
