We are looking for a Business Architect within the Architecture Team Supply at Business Solutions Range & Supply, IKEA of Sweden.

We are looking for a business architect to join and strengthen the group of Business architects and IT architects in domain Supply with primary focus on the process domain Plan Balance Sales and Supply (PBSS). This is an area planning and preparing for a number of major undertakings of strategic importance in the portfolio targeting the transformation from today’s legacy solutions into tomorrow’s target solutions best for business.

The Business Architect is a key position to translate and articulate the business needs and establish a road map to guide and support the transformation of business solutions needed today and tomorrow.

Job Description

The Architecture function at Business Solutions Range & Supply consists of Business Architects and IT Architects divided in two teams; Range and Supply. The function is an integral part of IKEA's global Business Solutions organization. We are responsible for defining and enforcing architecture across our eight Solution areas. The position will be a member of the Architecture Team Supply and report to the team leader. Location; Älmhult.

The assignment
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to shape business need and ideas into business architecture for business solutions improvements, describing the current state, future state and transition states to guide the detailed design and delivery of business solutions.
• Provide information and advice for better informed business decisions within and across organization(s) to optimize portfolio & roadmaps.
• Design and document a concrete, robust and appropriate architecture covering people, process, and technology and organization impact for the change in scope as well as an actionable transition roadmap.
• Actively follow and guide business solutions improvements during transformations to the desired future state.
• Lead information architecture activities within the domain(s), establishing directions and providing advice.
• Responsible to secure an understanding of the architecture to relevant business and IT stakeholders – within and across organization(s) – and seek agreement with business leaders/owners.

We are looking for someone with significant experience, competence and seniority in the PLAN BALANCE SALES AND SUPPLY process domain. You can have a various background coming from different positions in the business organization. For example, management, process development, requirement gathering and/or project leadership and change management preferably with experience of leading people.

• the IKEA change management, project steering/management methodology

The organization consists of eight Solution Areas that support and mirror the Range & Supply processes as part of the IKEA Ways of Working-map, including a number of staff functions such as Architecture, Business Development, Business Navigation, HR/Competence and Communication.

Business Solutions Range & Supply consists of approximately 250 co-workers based in different legal units globally all across Range & Supply. We have our main hubs in Älmhult, Helsingborg and Malmö (IKEA of Sweden AB), Dortmund (Distribution Services GmbH), Pratteln (IKEA Supply AG) and Warsaw (IKEA Purchasing Services Poland), and we are also present in the United States, Italy, France, Turkey, India, and the Czech Republic.
