Engineering Support – Business Area Bed & Bath, IKEA of Sweden

We have an exciting opportunity for you who is looking for a position supporting in a highly skilled environment with world class engineers in their field. We are working in a creative environment, developing products that reaches out all over the world. This is a role where you will work with the product documentation in close cooperation with the product development.
You work will primarily be with the product documentation. You will be able to develop a good insight in the way we are working with product development, requirements and the people and organizations connected to this.

As Engineering Support, you will be responsible to support the engineering team with administration, certification, documentation and verification activities. You will help to secure that product documentation is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards. You will also contribute to securing that our products are compliant in all markets through adequate knowledge of product laws and standards and certification schemes.

You will work close to the engineers in the product development teams as well as having a close dialogue with the purchasing organization, suppliers and third party test laboratories. You will develop a good insight into IKEA specifications and test methods, keeping them updated in changes, in legislation and other external requirements that may influence the product areas. You will work with documentation for new product developments as well as with improvements in the running range.

We believe that you are highly committed and self-driven person. You have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent. We will consider it as an added advantage if you have experience in working with product development and/or creation and maintenance of product documentation together with knowledge in 3D drawings and SolidWorks will be considered as an added advantage.

You are skilled in requirement management and verification planning and take a personal lead in your own work as well with your internal and external stakeholders. You work in a structured way with analytical skills and having basic supply chain knowledge.
Furthermore you have strong communication skills and the ability to create confidence and build relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery oriented person with a passion for details.
