Therefore a project with the scope to support the growth plan for IKEA B2B will be launched. It will deliver ways of working to meet bigger business customer’s requirements on delivery performance and services. This will impact all parts of IKEA value chain.

Right now we’re looking for a Project Leader to join and support our project Residential Construction within IKEA BUSINESS.

About the job

As a Project Leader, your role will be to lead the project, plan and organise the assignment. The structure of the project will be that first there will be a Pre-study part before we go into the project phase. You will lead a one of the pre-studies called ‘Meeting the customer’. The expected outcome of this is to deliver a proposal of what IKEA needs to do in order to meet Residential Customers business requirements. This will then be input to the project Residential Construction.

As a Project Leader, you are reporting to the Project Manager.

About the assignment

Your main responsibilities as Project Leader are:

• Actively plan and organize project according to the IKEA decision model and applicable delivery methodology
• Manage assignment within scope, time and cost frame, applying relevant project management methods and tools
• Lead and/or co-ordinate people from different units and cultures
• Manage communication to stakeholders relevant for the assignment or project
• Perform reporting
• Manage dependencies and interfaces within the assignment and project
• Identify, mitigate and manage risks
• Manage change by supporting stakeholders in preparing receiving organizations, learning and communication activities

About you

We believe that you have a strong capability to lead, communicate and influence stakeholders through indirect leadership. You can focus on defined business while maintaining a holistic perspective of the areas’ impact on total IKEA. You have a good ability to draw systematic and rational conclusions from relevant sources. You have excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

This is a temporary position for two years located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
