Right now we are looking for a Community Manager for the initiative co-createIKEA. co-createIKEA has its base within IKEA New Business and Innovation department, IKEA of Sweden. Through co-createIKEA we want to inspire and empower the many people to co-create. We will nurture a community built on engagement, openness and the desire to make things better, together. The IKEA range is developed in different Business Areas (BA) at IKEA of Sweden. On behalf of these BA’s, their needs, New Business & Innovation Department has the task to explore 2030 and beyond. We explore the big problems in everyday life, for the planet and society, creating solutions relevant for the many people. We are curious in this work, eager to step into the unknown and wia co-createIKEA we believe in co-creating across borders.
The co-createIKEA team works and establish new ways for IKEA to build relationships, within IKEA but also with the many different people and communities across the world. Co-creating will help us understand future needs and expectations of the many people. This work is also about finding new ways to take on future challenges in people's life at home from strategy to solutions and products- while at the same time creating more and stronger relations with people all over the world, both online and offline. Taking on the challenge as Community Manager within co-createIKEA you will be a part of a team with broad and different competences, within everything from leading co-creation, both on our digital platform and in our co-createIKEA Labs, to strategic collaborations and partnerships as well as communication and digital infrastructure.

About the job
As a Community Manager for co-createIKEA you will, on behalf of the business, lead, manage and implement the strategies for co-creation worldwide. To fully unleash the potential of this project you and your team will be responsible for building diverse communities that will enable IKEA to solve problems, communities including the many people, IKEA co-workers and experts, students, entrepreneurs and suppliers. You will work to create engagement and empower people both online and offline.
As a Community Manager for co-createIKEA you will:
• Lead, sustain and develop co-createIKEA community to deliver to the strategic direction, goals and objectives set
• Implement, manage and secure that all initiatives and projects within the co-createIKEA community portfolio are meeting the objectives and goals, including recourse if projects are off track
• Contribute to establish and sustain ways of working towards the goals and objectives of co-createIKEA along with the rest of the co-createIKEA team
• Define resources and setup needed for development, implementation and maintenance of the co-createIKEA community and lead, manage and develop the team within co-createIKEA community
• Lead, build, manage and nurture the diverse co-createIKEA community (online & offline) to be part of everyday IKEA reality and contribute to solving problems from strategy to solutions
• Secure a common, user friendly and simple way for IKEA to work with co-createIKEA community which supports capturing ideas and learning for the benefit of the business.
• Communicate and anchor co-createIKEA community to relevant stakeholders and forums throughout the organizations of IKEA and external partners
• Actively coach other areas of the business in how to work with co-createIKEA community management, and enable others to utilise its full potential
• Lead and manage how co-createIKEA community will provide insight and analysis to relevant stakeholders and projects
• Ensure to challenge our existing ways of working in order to find new ways to solve future challenges in peoples life at home
Qualifications
About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A degree or higher-level qualification in a related discipline (communication design, journalism, marketing, social media)
• 3 to 7 years relevant experience in business and across different business domains and in various markets and cultures.
• Experience and ability in co-creating solutions with different communities
• Experience from working in global environment, preferably in the consumer goods sector
• Good knowledge and understanding of the IKEA Value Chain, the development process, and the prerequisites of the Supply and Retail organization
• Knowledge in trends, developments and new technologies
• Great network- and communication skills
• A genuine interest in people and their life at home. Today and tomorrow
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
