Job Description

IKEA has decided to improve how we meet our business customers and be able to include bigger companies into the customer base.
Therefore a project with the scope to support the growth plan for IKEA B2B will be launched. It will deliver ways of working to meet bigger business customer’s requirements on delivery performance and services. This will impact all parts of IKEA value chain.

Right now we’re looking for a Communicator to join and support our projects within IKEA BUSINESS.

About the assignment
A Project Communicator acts as a business partner to the organisation: 

  • Build and develop an efficient communication landscape for the project, securing consistent communication towards the team and across stakeholders in IKEA
  • Develop a clear communication plan for the project and initiatives in scope, as well as actively contribute to the alignment of messages across IKEA BUSINESS to ensure clear and consistent communication towards defined target groups
  • Plan, coordinate, create and implement communication designed to inform, support and engage co-workers and key stakeholders across IKEA; give direction on content, frequency and most effective media
  • Make communication messages clear, simple, understandable and inspirational to the target group
  • Plan, develop, create and follow up communication to support development initiatives in achieving desired outcome in quality, time and budget 
  • Coach, advise, support and train co-workers and leaders to plan and deliver the most effective appropriate communication as well as strengthen their leadership through communication in the project
  • Support a structured and planned process for change management and communication together with HR & competence which engages co-workers in finding ways to leave the old and embrace the new for each agreed road forward
  • Build, strengthen and protect the IKEA brand, culture and values

About you

To be successful in this role you need to have passion for people's everyday life at home/work, home furnishing and our range:

  • You have a proven experience in developing and creating communication based on business directions and ability to create clarity from a complex context
  • You have strong understanding of internal communication and change management, including how to tailor communication effectively to create awareness, engagement and impact 
  • You have experience in Project Management and as a person; you are analytical, structured and methodical. You like to facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • You have both a detailed and holistic perspective and you appreciate simplicity. You have excellent communication skills securing IKEA tone of voice and you have the ability to engage and inspire by networking cross functions and organisations. The ability to express yourself confidently and clearly in English is a prerequisite.
  • You have knowledge of the IKEA business model, business plan process, strategic landscape and IKEA ways of working; The IKEA concept, value chain and brand objectives; IKEA and Range & Supply information plan

This is a temporary position for two years located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
