The Range Manager position is a senior role at IKEA of Sweden. The Range Manager is a member of management team of global business area and leads a team of Product Developers who are at the heart of the IKEA Democratic Design process: the development of a great home furnishing offer, focusing on form, function, price, quality and sustainability.

Range Manager Apprentice is a 12-month assignment where you get to work together with one of our Range Managers to learn and get a first-hand experience with how IKEA shapes the future of life at home in one of our product offer areas.

As Range Manager Apprentice you will contribute to developing the product offer according to the IKEA identity, including identifying new product ideas and opportunities.
You will learn how to analyse and interpret the market for strategic development of the business from a global perspective. You will have the responsibility for keeping a highly professional, creative and efficient Product Development process that answers to the customers’s needs and you will practice how to interpret and translate the “IKEA Range and design direction” into a range plan and guide Product Developers in the right direction.

The Range Manager Apprentice is an excellent opportunity to grow into Range Manager position within IKEA of Sweden. This means that this is a challenging and rewarding position with enormous impact on the many people around the world but it needs something to be successful:

  • Experience in leading work within style and range direction
  • Solid IKEA knowledge, or the willingness to acquire quickly, but comprehend the IKEA idea of creating better everyday life for the many 
  • A genuine interest in people and their life at home 
  • Capability of working in a constantly changing, constantly developing environment 
  • Be at home in a dynamic, growing net of people requires great communication and relationship building skills connections 
  • A minimum of five-year experience in successfully leading professionals through an interdependent leadership style 
  • Process and project management awareness: you are well organized, focused and inspirational
  • Preferably a Design education at BA or MA level
