Job Description

As EQR Development Manager, you will be responsible to secure planning, prioritization and execution of all projects in the Product Development portfolio from the perspectives of EQR (Engineering, Quality and Requirements) and usage of standard materials, shared solutions and design for total cost.

This is a senior leadership role within IKEA, and as an EQR Development Manager you will be a member of the BA Management Team and deliver to the Business Plan and Business agenda. Your main focus will be on leading and securing a high level engineering development and innovation with the aim of efficient usage of resources and significantly increasing the customer experience in connection with function, quality, sustainability and low cost. You will report directly to the Business Area Manager.

  • You have a proven leadership and a strong foundation in the IKEA values and culture
  • You have a deep business and product development knowledge on a strategic and tactical level
  • You are a humble leader with extensive experience from strategic development and international business.
  • You have deep knowledge in material and technical development as well as supply chain. 
  • You have a strong will to influence and make a difference and you are passionate about leading and coaching people in a changing environment.
  • You are an excellent stakeholder manager and you are business minded with a simple and straightforward communication style which builds credibility and trust.
  • You are driven by the desire to develop range and business and you thrive in an environment which involves problem solving and finding new solutions and innovations.
  • You have great passion and interest in the home furnishing business.
