About the job

As Communication Specialist, you work closely with the Information Security and Data privacy team and community. You will support with both strategic and tactical internal communication, contributing to the implementation of information security and data privacy for various target groups and topics. You will coach and support your colleagues on what communication channels to use and how to use them for best effect for the business purpose, always with the IKEA brand, culture and values in mind. In this role, you will be reporting to the Information Security & Data Privacy Manager.

This position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden with “sister” offices in Malmö and Helsingborg.

This is a temporary position of 10 months.

About the assignment

As a Communication Specialist, your main responsibilities are:

• Make Information Security/Data Privacy messages clear, simple and understandable to the target group through inspiring communication
• To lead, execute and follow up communication projects to support the implementation of the Information Security/Data Privacy in Range & Supply
• Secure the IKEA tone of voice by providing relevant guidelines, tools and templates
• Provide, maintain and develop communication solutions within the areas of the digital channel landscape, editorials and news, internal campaigns, graphic design and video production according to the business need
• Coach and interact with business stakeholders to understand their needs and to build relations
• Co-operate with other organisations and secure presence in relevant forums in order to make sure IKEA Range & Supply Communication needs are fulfilled
• Be an ambassador and act as a role model of the IKEA brand, culture and values
• Secure content quality through content ownership within the business
• Create a communicative culture and help our leaders and co-workers to lead with communication

Qualifications

About you

We are looking for a creative and solution-oriented person with good problem solving skills. You have a holistic approach with an eye for the details, always with simplicity in mind. You have excellent English language skills, both spoken and written and passion for words. You have a good sense of visual communication and basic layout skills. As a person, you are humble, have willpower and the ability to create togetherness and enthusiasm around you. You are a good listener with a strong drive and a proactive approach. You are service-minded with the ability to work with prioritization and deadlines, and you stay calm in situations of high stress.

In the role of Communication Specialist we expect you to have:
• Experience from working with communication, preferably internal communication
• Good understanding of different communication channels
• An academic degree within communication or similar
• Experience from supporting a business operating in a global context
• Ability to create clear and inspiring messages
• Passion for the IKEA values and business
