As our new Deputy EQR Development Manager you will lead the engineering development both from a quality, requirements and compliance perspective as well as technical innovation agenda for our range in BA (Business Area) Kitchen & Dining at IKEA of Sweden.

About the role

Your main focus will be to lead, motivate and develop our team of Product Development Engineering specialists in the Kitchen & Dining business area. You will work to secure that we set the right level of requirements in order to secure sellable and compliant products on all markets. Your work also entails developing better ways of working, processes, frameworks and tools. You will also be responsible to secure the work with deviations as well as to lead the quality improvement agenda within the business area. 

You have the responsibility to drive the technical innovation agenda, here you draw from passion and capability to set the strategic direction as well as implement. To be successful in this role you have experience from working in a leading position and you enjoy leading people, technical innovation and business together. You are result oriented, have a lot of energy and the desire to constantly find new ways to develop yourself and your team. You are also able to work in both strategic and operational dimensions.

You report to the EQR Development Manager in Kitchen & Dining.

-You have a University degree within engineering or equivalent technical experience.
-You have deep business and product development knowledge and experience on a strategic level and you have knowledge in material and technical development. Preferable in consumer goods sector on the international business arena.
-You have experience from working with product requirements, quality improvements, compliance issues and design engineering.
-You have leadership experience from strategic development and you are passionate about lead, delegate, motivate and work with and through other people. You lead based on value driven leadership.
-You are business minded and you have a simple and straightforward communication style which build credibility and trust.
-You are driven by a constant desire of renewal and you are able to act and drive in a changing environment.

IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English both verbal and written.
The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
