Job Description

In the Sourcing Developer role you will be setting up the optimal sourcing conditions and act as a bridge between the IKEA Kitchen & Dining Business Area and the categories. From that position you lead and secure that both production and customer perspective is considered in all our products. You are responsible for sourcing activities in the product development process evaluating material and choices of technique related to cost, capacity, quality and sustainability and ensuring that product development is in-line with supplier production capabilities.
In this role you will report to Sourcing Development Manager Tomas Zeman.


As a Sourcing Developer, you will:
- be responsible to secure total supply chain perspective, including selecting optimal material and technique, in product development process trough own competence and through involving right competence needed, and draw conclusions
- be part of Product Offer Development (POD) team responsible to develop, revise and lead implement the action plan for NEWs (sales, gross margin, total cost, sustainability, quality, availability, extraordinary cost)
- together with the POD team be accountable for performance of running range (sales, gross margin, Total cost, Sustainability, quality, availability, Extra ordinary cost)
- be responsible to secure preconditions in e.g. Action plan for Category to secure availability at lowest Total cost
- monitor and lead when there are opportunities/deviations in relation to plan
- be responsible to secure that both production and customer perspective is considered in the product development

Qualifications

To be a successful Sourcing Developer, you should:
- have minimum 3-5 years of experience within related field
- have project leadership experience
- have experience in leading business and cooperating in a team
- have knowledge of Supply chain and value chain analysis methodology
- be highly self-motivated and result-orientated
- have knowledge of at least one material and production
- have university degree in technology, business administration or corresponding knowledge
- be fluent in English, both spoken and written
- do business with a holistic view, always having Customer, Supplier, Total IKEA and total cost development in mind
- have the capability to identify and capture business opportunities and deliver results
- be capable to lead and deliver results through involving and engaging people in remote locations
- be able to analyze and draw conclusions which contribute to the total business
- have the capability to perform risk assessment and scenario planning
