IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduce 2,000 new products in the IKEA stores. The total range is almost 10,000 products.
Wood supply & Forestry team is working on securing continuous and long-term access to sustainably sourced wood at lowest costs with ensuring the IKEA sustainability requirements on wood are developed and met. We are a global team of 35 employees with location close to our main sourcing countries all around the world.

Job Description
About the assignment
As Wood Supply & Forestry Specialist you will be handling several varying tasks simultaneously. You will be strong in training and assistance to suppliers and co-workers in forestry and wood supply requirements. Participating in yearly planning process and support business teams in the development of their action plans to meet the Forestry and Wood Supply goals and priorities. You will be supporting business teams with the forest tracing survey (FTS), collect, verify the accuracy and analyse the results and if required report those aggregated for whole PLA. Able to collect, analyze and make available for IKEA the information about forest resources, forest legislation, forest industry and stakeholders, prices etc, contribute to the market intelligence reports.

About the job
As a Wood Supply & Forestry Specialist you will be responsible for
• Within defined part of the business and legal framework of IKEA – supports competence of the business teams including IKEA Industry to drive Forestry and Wood Supply issues
• Support suppliers to help secure compliance with IKEA forestry requirements and wood supply performance
• Develop & manage forestry projects with business teams and external partners in the purchase operation area / region e.g. FSC, WWF
Qualifications
We believe that you have a strong knowledge of forestry and wood product supply chain, experience of implementation and verification of forestry requirements at suppliers, working with IT systems in forestry, understanding of cost drivers across value chain. We expect you to having a passion for forestry, as well as administration and business support and strong communication skills. Ability to work with diverse personalities, cultures and situations. The ability to create confidence and build relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery oriented person with a passion for details.
Furthermore you have
• Knowledge of EU Timber Regulation, Lacey Act and other forestry related legislations.
• Knowledge of FSC CoC and relations with EUTR compliance.
• Good understanding of forest management, timber trade and wood processing.
• Forestry and/or wood industry and related degree (Forestry or Wood Technology).
• Experience in working with IKEA suppliers (auditing) is considered a strong asset.
Additional Information
IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English. This role requires you to travel on needs.
The position is permanent and located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
