Project Manager – Solution Area Plan & Balance Sales and Supply, Business Solutions Range & Supply, IKEA of Sweden

IKEA is on an ambitious and exciting growth journey. Over the coming years we are investing to develop IKEA, and within the Plan & Balance Sales and Supply we have several interesting upcoming initiatives over the coming years. For this we are looking for Project Managers to take on the challenge to lead the development within one of IKEA’s core processes – Plan & Balance Sales and Supply.

As a Project Manager your task will be to start up and lead an initiative within our solution area.
Your assignment as a Project Manager is to:
• Lead and manage a project team comprising of a mix of Project & Business Professionals
• Report to the Project Steering Group about the project status and recommending direction and decisions.
• Working with and adhering to the Business Solutions Range & Supply project framework and approved methods and tools used for Project Management
• Plan and organize project according to IKEA decision model and applicable delivery methodology
• Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and line organization
• Manage people by designing appropriate organization and deploy competence, staff acquisition and ongoing team development
• Manage stakeholders by identifying stakeholders, planning for stakeholder management and following up on engagement
• Manage communication by plan and distribute relevant information to stakeholders, perform project reporting
• Manage risks by identify, mitigate, monitor and control risk
• Manage procurement and vendor relations within project with support from internal purchasing organization and follow up on performance and deliveries from vendor.
• Manage change by supporting stakeholders in preparing receiving organizations, learning and communication activities

• Have solid knowledge and experience in project management processes including methods and tools; scope, time, cost, risk, quality, communication, procurement and how to integrate these processes.
• Have solid knowledge and experience in managing and leading teams and stakeholders

• Have solid leadership experience and a strong belief in the IKEA leadership approach, Leading Business & People Together and have a proven track record of delivering results
• Be comfortable in a complex, dynamic, diverse and ever evolving business environment
• Have knowledge in change management methods and tools
• Have knowledge in IKEA business processes, Strategic Target landscape and understanding of Information Technology and relevant production models
• Be able to perform on a strategic, tactical and operational level
• Be prepared to develop and simplify existing ways of working
• Be able to influence a wide range of stakeholders within Range & Supply
• Be a confident and strong communicator sensitive to people’s different needs
• Have experience of leading global projects

Solution Area Plan and Balance Sales and Supply is a part of Business Solutions Range & Supply at IKEA of Sweden. The role of Business Solutions Range & Supply is to:

• deliver competence to support and develop business solutions
• have an end to end accountability for solutions, enhancements and projects
• manage one agreed and steered business solutions agenda in Range & Supply

With business solutions we mean the tools we use to run and develop our business supported by information technology.

About Solution Area Plan and Balance Sales and Supply
In Plan and Balance Sales and Supply (PBSS) we have the customer in focus. By connecting people and business with information technology we can provide solutions related to Supply Chain Planning and Optimization. Example of solutions are Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Supply Chain Matrix and Supply Chain Guru.

We lead and develop solutions through projects, major initiatives and continuous improvements work. We are located in Älmhult.

Additional information
The position will be based at IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult. You will report to the Martin Fredlund, Project Office Manager within ‘Plan and Balance Sales & Supply’ and when assigned to a project to the respective Project Steering Group.
