IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA retail channels with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduces 2,000 new products in the 400 stores IKEA stores and other multichannel touchpoints around the world with the turnover of 20,5 BEUR. The total range is almost 10,000 products. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Job Description

Right now we are looking for a Management Assistant to the Range & Design Manager and Range & Design matrix at IKEA of Sweden AB. 

About the assignment
You will be an essential part of helping, supporting and driving the ongoing agenda for our Range & Design development and the future of retailing. In this role you will be given a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our range development and the matrix team within Range & Design. Giving you the possibility to get a deep understanding of the range, how it is developed and how we can use digital development as a part of the future of retailing.

You will be a key player in the Range & Design management team, giving you a unique insight in the responsibilities of the Range & Design manager as well as insights in many other roles that are interlinked. We believe that the learning, insights and networks that you will receive in this position will give you a great foundation for taking on a bigger and more challenging positions within IKEA in the future.

There will be hands-on administrative tasks, as well as a number of strategic initiatives and you will work with many questions and areas that are complex, challenging and in need of development. You will be required to see opportunities, drive continuous improvement of processes and apply, and rely on your own judgement. The assignment includes: 

Working closely and effectively with the Range & Design Manager and secure all activities connected to Range Development.

  • Taking an active part of building relationships crucial to the success of IKEA Range & Supply, and managing a variety of projects assigned by the Range & Design Manager.
  • Being part of and taking an active role in the matrix team.
  • Providing a bridge for smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders; demonstrating leadership to maintain and develop, credibility, trust and support.
  • Planning, coordinating and ensuring that the Range & Design Managers calendar is followed and respected.
  • Assisting in scheduling meetings among the management team and taking minutes and following up.
  • Prioritising conflicting needs; handling matters expeditiously, proactively, and following-through on initiatives to ensure successful completion against deadlines.

Qualifications

You have a real passion for the range and broad range development knowledge and understanding of the IKEA Value Chain. You are driven by developing the range and how it meets the customer by working closely with and supporting other leaders. And you have the motivation and potential to continue to grow and take several more steps within IKEA.

Furthermore you have;

  • Great ability to juggle competing priorities and work really well in a fast paced, changing international environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, drive your own projects and challenge others, always with a positive twist.
  • A holistic and strategic approach, yet equally interested in understanding and supporting in operational tasks.
