Can you really reach out to the whole world, while working in a tranquil idyll in the middle of nowhere? In Älmhult you can. Älmhult, Sweden is home to IKEA Communications AB, aka ICOM. ICOM produces IKEA.com, which is visited around 1.6 billion times a year. We're also behind the IKEA catalogue with a yearly circulation of around 200 million copies. On top of that, we churn out a ton of content for social media, not to mention motion media and 3D work so cutting edge that it makes the folks in California sit up and take notice. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

The Business Area Media Production supports IKEA retailers in producing efficient and effective marketing communication. To do this, we provide production management service, production platforms and know-how for both printed and publications. Together with IKEA business partners, IKEA retailers and suppliers, we continuously develop and improve our publications, platforms and production processes.

The IKEA catalogue is our main production. Our experience with the IKEA catalogue helps us deliver related publications. We produce global in-store range brochures, the IKEA FAMILY MAGAZINE and other publications, in both print and paper versions.

As Production Responsible you manage the planning, monitoring and execution and follow up of the production. In addition you are responsible for retailer and supplier relation and the media business process, including validating orders in internal system, capturing and managing order changes, create purchase orders, invoicing and closure. We are now searching for a Production Responsible for publications such as the IKEA Catalogue, In Store Range Brochures, Family Magazine and local productions.

Your main areas of responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for daily service and support towards Business Partners, Retailers and Suppliers, main interface during production, account management
  • Responsible for business documentation/process compliancy
  • Create production plan in co-operation with business partners and monitor delivery according to plan and agreement to IKEA Retailers (sales order confirmation) and suppliers (purchase order)
  • Assign Purchase agreements to Sales orders (create purchase orders)
  • Follow-up productions, process invoices, process additional costs and support product manager with production closure
  • Manage change request process, update Sales orders and Purchase orders
  • Facilitate meetings with IKEA Business partners, IKEA retailers, stakeholders and suppliers with the purpose to secure all production details and guidelines.
  • Maintain, update and communicate routines and specifications towards IKEA business partners,IKEA Retailers, stakeholders and suppliers
  • Follow up and close defined IWAY audits action plan
  • Responsible to maintain relevant tools as support the production process: e.g. Business & planning System and communication tools.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, we think you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related.
  • Prefer from print and paper industry, familiar with complex media products and process.
  • Good knowledge of production planning, monitoring and execution experience.
  • Good knowledge and experience of customer service, business administrative routines
  • Good knowledge of IIS Media Production internal control framework processes
  • Good understanding of the IKEA concept, IKEA business and IKEA year cycle
  • Good knowledge of communications, fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems, accounting process and purchase procedures.
