About the job

How we develop our offer will always be done in close synchronization with operational requirements as an integrated part of the product development process. We will strive for excellence and always develop Dishes, Components, Operations, Equipment and Co-worker competence as one integrated range development process, always in alignment with efficiency requirements or possible investments in machinery and equipment.

As Operations Leader you will lead and develop operational activities within the Product Development teams to ensure we secure the basics in existing store and unit formats and solutions as well as developing for the future. You will lead and secure that the operations perspective is implemented in the product development process and lead and carry out other activities to secure that operations create a foundation in optimizing sales and enhance the customer experience.

About the assignment
You lead from an operations perspective in the product development process within the Product Development teams, from scoping to sales start. Focusing on food safety standards, preparation, production & serving methods as well as equipment requirements. Working closely with different functions within IKEA Food Services and together with our retail partners and our customers, you work to improve the Food experience and secure the operational standards. You also lead and carry out development of operational & commercial tests, and by this securing constant improvements. With the operational perspective in mind, you respond quickly and proactively to commercial opportunities, customer feedback and competition in order to develop for the future.

About you
You come with great passion for food as well as an evident desire to improve our customers’ experience. You have experience from working with food operations on a global level and preferably knowledge of food operations at IKEA including product development, floor management and equipment as well as an understanding of how this supports the business agenda. You have leadership and project management experience together with product & range competence.
 
You have an enthusiastic "can do" attitude, a strong drive to exceed goals and continuously improve performance. You lead by example and build trust through excellent communication skills and encourage togetherness. You are knowledgeable in global & local business requirements and display keen interest to discover different market conditions. You are motivated to simplify complex issues to deliver results and projects. You like driving change and you know how to navigate in the unknown.
