Job Description

  • Performs diversified duties of managing maintenance PM and TPM plans, ordering and maintaining machine parts, equipment and plan maintenance activities.
  • Prepares daily work plan for 15 to 25 maintenance coworkers.
  • Coordinates procurement and scheduling of service engineer and contract vendors.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is scheduled and completed in a timely, accurate manner and all necessary components are readily available.
  • Conducts studies to measure effectiveness of maintenance efforts in preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, thermography, oil analysis, vibration analysis and reliability performance standardization.
  • Communicates to maintenance team regularly to ensure task details and customer’s needs are met.
  • Conducts periodic inspections and interview operators as necessary to ensure equipment repair needs are met.
  • Reviews check sheets and maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Works closely with maintenance Team Lead and Supply Center to ensure stock levels are sufficient to support equipment repairs and that all parts required for work are ordered.
  • Documents and analyzes equipment part history in Movex.
  • Secures and analyzes quotes; negotiates prices and terms with vendors/supplies and recommends supplies with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness.
  • Provides management with status reports pertinent to the department.
  • Executes administration of the PM program, work order system, regulatory inspection program and contract services for the department.
  •  Maintains departmental vacation and training schedule.
  • Keeps work area neat, clean and organized according to the principles 5 S.
  • Actively participates in assigned teams and/ or projects as needed.
  • Consistently follows the IKEA vision and values.
  • Informs Maintenance Manager all information as it relates to the maintenance process.
  • Reads, analyzes and interprets documents such as blue print, mechanical drawings, work orders, equipment manuals, maintenance instructions, safety rules, procedural manuals, etc.
  • Other duties maybe assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance and/or combination of education and technical experience.
  • Experience with tracking and/or maintaining inventories of supplies or tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, M3, Planning and IKEA systems. 
  • Experience with data base work order system.
