At IKEA of Sweden we develop and make the IKEA range available to stores and customers all over the world. Within the responsibilities of IKEA of Sweden lie the development, sourcing, supply and steering of a unique, competitive and efficient range. 

As our new Product Development Engineer you will lead the technical development in our Home Technology & Platform team to secure creative ready to implement platform solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations. Your main focus will be in the area of wireless and wired power transfer and batteries. You will actively search information and knowledge contributing to technical development in these areas and share this with product development team members. You are highly involved in defining the product development project as well as securing the right competence and resources from a technical perspective. The Product Development Engineer is responsible overall for leading and making sure the technical development projects are carried through and delivered in time, and following up on the results. Delivery, leadership and working with people have a large focus in this role.

You probably have a University Degree in Engineering, experience in electronics and working experience in a product development environment. You like to drive innovative projects with a problem solving approach built on curiosity and you have the courage to try new solutions and explore the unknown.
With your excellent communication skills you have the capability to build strong relations with both internal as external stakeholders. You are passionate about creating the best technical solutions for our customers at the right price with the right quality, beautiful in design and with focus on sustainability.
