Job Description

Right now were looking for a Demand planner to join us at Business Area Kitchen & Dining at IKEA of Sweden.

About you
As a person you are motivated by problem solving and create, through a thorough analysis taking a holistic business perspective into consideration, a demand forecast. You have good prioritization skills and can see what is important input right here and now for your scope of responsibility and product range. You have a positive attitude and you always look for ways to improve the business together with others. Furthermore, you have the ability to simplify complex issues and you are able to communicate your findings in a clear way to colleagues within your network. You are confident in the analysis you come up with, even when being questioned, but are still flexible and open for additional input when that can have an impact on the sales in the long run.

About the job
As a Demand Planner at IKEA of Sweden you act as the link between Commercial and Supply, turning in depth analysis of our sales history and future business ambitions into an accurate forecast that is used to secure the availability of our products to our customers around the globe. In addition, being the Supply Organisation’s speaking partner with the Retail organisation, you turn global and national sales plans into product level forecasts by predicting when, where and in what quantities the products will be sold in our stores. You will contribute in building a smarter, slimmer and more cost-effective supply chain, enabling availability at lowest possible cost!

Qualifications

Is this your next challenge?
To be successful in this role we believe that you:
• Have 2-3 years of relevant experience from supply chain, ideally from retail but not a must
• Have a university degree in business/economics/logistics
• Have strong analytical skills with a problem-solving approach
• Have the ability to work with a holistic perspective, through the whole chain from supplier to customer, as well as the capability to be in the fine details
• Are a skilled excel user and are used to build reports
• Have excellent English communication skills
• Are able to establish long-term relationships and work through other people to get necessary information
