ICOM produces IKEA.com, which is visited around 2.1 billion times a year. We're also behind the IKEA catalogue with a yearly circulation of around 220 million copies. On top of that, we churn out a ton of content for social media, not to mention motion media and 3D work so cutting edge that it makes the folks in California sit up and take notice. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.

Right now we're looking for a 3D Model Lead, that someone who’s always on the outlook for fine tuning and development. Someone with the talent of leading and developing standards and processes. That someone who could be up to date with evolution and innovation across 3D industry.

Our 3D business is growing in every dimension and we're looking for talented 3D Model Lead.Is this the next challenge for you?

In the role you will:

  • Be part of developing the CAD standard
  • Be part of the development for model variants such as LOD, real-time, dynamic resolution
  • Develop documentation for work flows and out sourcing standards
  • Manage and lead supplier network such as finding new suppliers, responsible for benchmarking, schedule and briefing of suppliers.
  • Lead QA process for suppliers.
  • Manage and lead supplier network such as finding new suppliers, responsible for benchmarking, schedule and briefing of suppliers
  • Keep up with evolution of modeling standards across 3D industry.
  • Have close relationship with 3D Artist and end users for the 3D model assignments
  • Be responsible for publishing assets in model bank.
  • Create roadmap for processes and ways of working.
  • Up hold the IKEA model standard.



Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we think you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science related area.
  • Ability to analyze and brief CAD for assignors and outsourcing.
  • Experienced 3D modeler
  • Knowledge of CAD production standards.
  • Good working knowledge of Solid works.
  • Good understanding of 3D model production and 3D model business
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills, and collaborative mindset.
  • Deep knowledge of 3D studio max and Vray.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
