IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduce 2,000 new products in the IKEA stores. The total range is almost 10,000 products.

Job Description

About the assignment
•    Be an active business partner by providing facts for business insights and performance reports, both year cycle based and ad hoc.
•    Performing Ad-hoc reports & facts.
•    Business Owner for applications and reports.
•    Contribute with tools and capabilities for scenario planning, modelling, risk assessment.
•    Building prototypes in Qlikview, Qlik Sense and TM1.
•    Proposing best practices and data models.
•    Improving and simplifying existing BI applications and reports.
•    Define requirements for new reports and solutions.
•    Develop reports and BI applications in co-operation with Business Solutions.
•    Providing support to business projects in terms of structure and data entities.
•    Supporting documenting and maintaining the KPI map.

About the job
As a Business Information Expert your role will be to contribute to the business priorities by enabling analytical and fact-based decision-making. You will contribute with facts for analysing complex business challenges and scenarios and provide facts for insights and analyses in a clear and simple way to meet business and receiver needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a deep knowledge of business as a whole as well as deep knowledge in one or more subject/performance areas including IKEA strategies and processes. Deep knowledge of the purchasing area or range development area is a plus. On the technical side there is a need for a deep technical knowledge (IT) in BI Tools (Qlikview, Qlik Sense Cognos TM1) as well as Microsoft Office products like Excel, Access and VBA. Additional knowledge of advance analytics in python or R, databases and SQL or deeper knowledge of Qlikview is a plus.
You also have a high interest in visual design of data through reports or presentations and how to express the message in a clear and inspiring way.

As a person you are motivated by simplifying complex issues and always striving to improve efficiency with a strong drive for turning data into Business Information. You are motivated to get beyond the technical aspects of a data model to understand how that data and decisions impact the business. You believe in treating BI as an ongoing business process and not merely as a series of IT projects that end upon implementation. You are also result oriented. The perfect solution delivered ten years from now might be worse than a good solution delivered today.

Additional Information

IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English. The position is permanent and located in Älmhult, Sweden.
Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
