About the assignment

As a Visit Coordinator you will have the exciting task to organise and lead visitor activities at the IKEA Test Lab in Älmhult. You will also be responsible for information and material regarding educational and training activities for the employees, and to help maintain communication and information at IKEA Test Lab’s website.

About the job

In this role you will have the important task to plan, lead and coordinate both internal and external visits to the Test Lab. You will be responsible for developing the internal guiding plan, and presenting the material to the visitors. You will be an important link to IKEA media and other visitor related departments, and make sure you stay updated on safety-, insurance and legal demands for visits and visitors. 

As part of this role you will work closely with IKEA Test Lab Management and be part of the strategic planning of information and educational activities for current and new employees. You will help to take care of the introduction of new employees and support other functions within the test lab when needed.

About you

We are looking for you who has a genuine interest in the work that is performed at IKEA Test Lab, and who thrives in an environment where you meet and take well care of customers. You are comfortable with communicating information to large groups of people in a pedagogical way, therefore it is important that you have strong communication skills in English. You have a positive attitude, and you feel comfortable working in an environment where unplanned situations may arise. 

You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and you like to share your knowledge with others. You feel comfortable working in an environment where processes aren’t necessarily in place, and where you can use your proactive skills to make suggestions for improvements.

This is a permanent position based in Älmhult, an inspirational working environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world.
