IKEA Range & Supply has the responsibility to develop, design, produce and supply IKEA stores with home furnishing solutions available to the many people. Each year IKEA Range & Supply introduce 2,000 new products in the IKEA stores. The total range is almost 10,000 products.

Wood supply & Forestry team is working on securing continuous and long-term access to sustainable sourced wood at lowest costs with ensuring the IKEA sustainability requirements on wood are developed and met. We are a global team of 35 employees with location close to our main sourcing countries all around the world.

We are looking for a Drying Engineer to join us on our exciting journey!

About you
We believe that you are strong in knowledge of wood drying. You have a deep knowledge of wood properties and how it impact the drying process. Capability to transfer knowledge and working methods to co-workers and suppliers. Having a passion for administration and business support with strong communication skills. Ability to work with diverse personalities, cultures and situations. Furthermore you have the ability to create confidence and build relations. You are self-motivated and a goal- and delivery oriented person with a passion for details.

About the assignment
As Drying Engineer you will be handling several varying tasks simultaneously. You will be creating optimal drying setup on supplier levels and also create drying Baselines. You will lead drying risk assessments at selected suppliers and evaluate the drying facilities and quality systems. You will be strong in training people within drying in your own organization and for categories and business teams. You will lead or support of creating drying forum within the business teams and suppliers.

About the job
As a Drying Engineer you will be responsible for selected suppliers lead and perform drying assessments to identify potential improvement areas. Based on identified needs, you will lead and participate in drying improvement projects in order to secure drying development to lower total cost and to improve quality and improve drying efficiency at suppliers.

IKEA of Sweden is a truly global environment, with colleagues from all over the world and you therefore need to be fluent in English. This role requires you to travel on needs.

The position is permanent and located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
