To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • Min. 5 years of experience in the HR field; recruitment, people and team development, succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR processes, employee engagement. 
  • Experience in supporting business leaders in resolving people management issues.
  • Good knowledge of local employment legislations and labor market situations and trends
  • Strong motivation to support people and competence development 
  • Interest in working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment 
  • Interestand drive to find common interests and agenda, building trust and partnership
    to reach common goals 
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with various audiences in English, both
    verbally and in writing

About the assignment

As a member of our HR function, you have the overall responsibility for the HR operational excellence in the Älmhult office and you are responsible for people development of 4 HR co-workers reporting to the Site HR Manager.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Secure operational excellence by implementing and maintaining HR processes and working
    methods for the Älmhult site.
  • Contribute to build-up business competence, leadership and talent pipeline, supporting managers and co-workers on site in their development in line with IKEA People strategies and global competence initiatives.
  • Coach and support managers for people related topics.
  • Together with the PLANE HR team, establish and implement site HR plans and contribute to the overall PLANE HR agenda. Contribute and act on country opportunities and regional synergies.
  • Ensure IKEA is known as a great place to work and positioned as the preferred employer for every function, in cooperation with other IKEA units in Sweden.
  • Responsible to secure and verify HR-related compliance with internal regulations and external regulations (such as employment laws, Occupational Health and Safety procedures).
  • Secure that payroll, administration related to employment, headcount and staff budget for Älmhult are done in an efficient and qualitative way.
  • Responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans for co-workers in the team.
  • At any time, act as a role model for IKEA culture and values.
