Job Description

This role is responsible for the operational delivery of new home electrical connections, managing connection requests from initiation through to completion. Working closely with the Deployment and New Connections teams, you will ensure applications are processed accurately, scheduled effectively, and completed within agreed service levels.

The role requires strong coordination across customers, retailers, field technicians and internal teams to ensure work is planned, communicated and executed efficiently, supporting consistent service outcomes and operational performance.

The role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Raise and manage new connection and alteration requests through Energy Retail Partner portals and direct retailer channels.
  • Plan, schedule and dispatch field metering work in line with technician availability, accreditation, SLAs, regulatory requirements and internal KPIs.
  • Manage operational queries related to scheduling, access and appointments to enable successful field execution.
  • Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound customer communications to confirm bookings, resolve issues and progress jobs to completion.
  • Work closely with internal operational and commercial teams to ensure service delivery meets contractual and performance expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to process improvements, digital enhancements, and compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high‑performing operational environment within Energy, Utilities, Telecommunications or a comparable regulated industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of energy connection processes across NEM jurisdictions, with established industry and stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven capability in operational assurance, including end‑to‑end process knowledge, identifying control gaps, and recommending practical improvements.
  • Highly analytical and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage exceptions, escalations and unstructured problems through to resolution with minimal supervision.
  • Well‑organised communicator with intermediate to advanced Microsoft 365 capability, able to manage high volumes of work accurately and efficiently.
