Job Description
Contracts & Pricing, Senior Manager, Advisory
Reports to: Executive Director, Advisory Services
People Management Responsibilities: 1 or more direct reports
Location: Philadelphia, USA. Remote, East Coast-based
Employment Type: Full-time, Employee
DESCRIPTION
Mission: The Contracts & Pricing Senior Manager, within the Advisory Services practice at IntegriChain, is part of an elite team of consultants who leverage their Life Sciences domain expertise to advise our customers on a variety of government pricing (GP), contracting and broader market access matters. The Senior Manager provides prompt, accurate, and compliant guidance to our customers and provides strategic and compliance recommendations while building strong, trusted customer relationships.
The Senior Manager will partner with our customers - many of whom leverage IntegriChain’s services across Contracts & Pricing, Gross-to-Net, Channel, and Patient – to ensure they understand the complex pricing, regulatory and compliance issues faced by manufacturers in the industry and more importantly, how these issues relate to each customer’s specific portfolio and business objectives. Collaboration with team members across departments, to ensure a high level of customer experience, across all of the services IntegriChain offers to our customers will be a key expectation in this role.
This position requires crisp consulting skills: the daily demonstration of complex, analytical thinking and strategic recommendations. Leading by example, this individual will also teach and mentor team members to grow their expertise in these areas. Outside of ensuring high-quality delivery and team development, this individual will support the sales process through the identification and scoping of new opportunities, collaborate with Advisory leaders in the development of new practice offerings, and help drive resourcing decisions across the team. This individual will also be an empathetic leader who can foster collaboration and establish a positive team atmosphere in an increasingly remote workplace. This candidate will command expertise in Contracts and Pricing matters, win our customer’s trust, and drive growth at our customers. He or she will foster a team-wide customer-focused attitude and nurture our customer relationships to build long-lasting partnerships.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for working with pre-commercial manufacturers bringing their first product to market. In these situations, the Senior Manager assists our customers in deploying a best-in-breed GP framework to support a successful product launch/commercialization. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for spearheading one-time projects, whether it is the development of a new one-time project opportunity or utilizing existing templates to deliver existing one-time projects to customers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level analytical and strategic thinking and possess the technical skillsets to deliver high-quality work products, such as price impact scenario models and data analysis. The Senior Manager must be able to communicate complex concepts in a simple and clear manner via all modes of communication (e.g., reports, emails, PPT, in-person and/or Zoom meetings). The Senior Manager must be able to lead and run well-structured meetings with C-Suite Executives, while continually keeping compliance at the forefront of our support.
This role requires the ability to lead customer accounts independently and provide high quality deliverables with very little oversight. This role also requires the individual to be inquisitive and to evaluate different scenarios in order to arrive at the right solution to the problem at hand.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, operational, and compliance advice relating to the various U.S. Government Programs, including Medicaid, FSS, 340B, and Medicare, as well as methodology guidance for the related GP calculations (e.g., AMP, BP, URA, ASP, PHS 340B, Non-FAMP and FCP)
- Oversee Federal Supply Schedule contract compliance on behalf of IntegriChain’s customers, including contract maintenance, Public Law submissions, tracking customer monitoring, and negotiating contract changes with the VA
- Assess customers’ current state GP processes, benchmark against industry norms and best practices, develop recommendations, and guide customers down the path to achieve these improvements
- Lead pre-commercial customer engagements and ensure the successful and timely completion of all GP and other contracts and pricing pre-launch activities
- Provide industry insights while also identifying key issues that may impact a customer’s business
- Update and/or develop policies and procedure documentation for customers to ensure compliance with government regulations and effective corporate governance
- Continually improve customer account satisfaction in order to encourage referrals, drive incremental revenue opportunities, and ensure renewal business on existing accounts
- Create deliverables of the utmost quality for customers, manage expectations internally and externally, and provide on or ahead-of-time delivery
- Establish immediate rapport and rapidly build trust with customers by providing decisive counsel and concise, accurate deliverables
- Manage multiple projects in parallel, while ensuring timely delivery and responses to customer requests
- Provide day-to-day people management of at least one (1) US-based team member including proper performance management, encouragement of professional development, focus on quality and process adherence, and an overall emphasis on team building and camaraderie; also includes skill development and helping to grow Advisory knowledge
- Work within a rapidly growing organization where cross-functional communication is important and a willingness to evolve and adapt to changing organization needs and challenges is imperative
- Understand the overall organization structure and interplay of the various segments within IntegriChain
- Contribute to IntegriChain’s industry-leading thought leadership capabilities through networking and collaboration with customers and colleagues, independent and project-based research, project delivery, and conference attendance
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by Advisory leadership

- Minimum 7-10 years of consulting experience in the contracts and pricing arena within the pharma and biotech industry, with direct experience in Government Pricing and FSS contracting

- Motivated to lead; accomplishment of daily activities proactively and independently

- Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of cross-functional teamwork
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with excellent presentation skills
- Excellent business analytical skills, a high accuracy rate, and attention to detail
