Job Description
Mission:
The Manager, Gross-to-Net position at IntegriChain is part of a team of industry experts who leverage their Life Sciences expertise to analyze, model, and synthesize secondary information and provide insights to our Gross to Net (GTN) customers. We are looking for candidates who can quickly jump into an organization business and solve their forecasting and accrual accounting needs as a consultative part of a customer FPA team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level analytical thinking and must be experienced with leveraging financial systems. This is a hybrid opportunity, and the candidate must be willing to work on-site in New Jersey 3 business days a week. Future projects may also require US based weekly travel.
- Support Customer Manager will GTN Business Needs
- Communicate effectively with reporting manager and project lead
- Create on-time, high quality project deliverables over GTN forecasting and accruals
- Maintain and adhere to customer policies/procedures
- Leverage customer source system for GTN Forecasting and Accruals
Manage and drive Customer GTN Close and Forecast processes by leading and supporting the following:
- Prepare monthly revenue related journal entries and ledger account reconciliations leveraging GTN Source System
- Perform true-ups based on actual versus accrued contra revenue GTN deduction items
- Conduct reconciliations of actual transaction data to the associated accrual assumptions
- Analyze, explain, and meaningfully summarize gross to net variances to customers
- Alert customers to potential changes that may affect their business
- Test production deployments and provide QA feedback and commentary
- Ensure success of product enhancements to GTN systems
Drive customer success:
- Demonstrate value to our customers
- Review team outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to customers around critical GTN business processes
- Develop recommendations to enhance and automate aspects of the GTN process, and guide customers down the path to achieve these improvements
- Provide insights on GTN liabilities across government and commercial channels
Qualifications
- Minimum B.A. / B.S., CPA or MBA preferred with majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar
- 7 - 10 years of life sciences industry experience with recommended 3-5 years of accounting experience working on the customer side or at a consultancy
- Deep understanding of the GAAP principles related to revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting practices
- Knowledge of the pharma supply chain and contracting, and the relationship to data flows through GTN models – including but not limited to direct sales, chargebacks, rebates, and copay data.
- Experience as the customer-facing consulting lead for complex GTN activities and deliverables – ability to deeply describe all steps, approaches, pitfalls, and how to mitigate risk and achieve success
- Ability to manage employees of various levels
- Business analytical skills, a high accuracy rate, and attention to detail
- Exhibit superior communication and influencing skills: oral, written, listening and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to teach, train and grow capability of others
- Excellent understanding of cross-functional teamwork
- Proven management experience with building teams, coaching, developing and performance management
- Ability to establish processes and controls to satisfy routine internal/ external audits
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent presentation skills
