Job Description

  • Job: Project Manager / Project Administrator
  • Location: Minnesota (Remote)
  • Client: Minnesota Department of IT Services (MNIT) / DCYF
  • Position Type: Proposal (MNSITE-3696)

The Project Manager / Project Administrator will coordinate implementation activities supporting the Worker Interface pilot initiative. This role will ensure effective planning, scheduling, communication, and execution across multiple stakeholder groups, including state program teams, integration vendors, and participating county and Tribal agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and readiness plans
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and engagement sessions with pilot agencies
  • Track action items, risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams
  • Support onboarding and engagement logistics for participating counties and Tribal partners
  • Monitor project progress and prepare status reports and executive summaries
  • Facilitate communication and documentation across functional and technical teams
  • Assist in organizing training readiness activities and pilot implementation support
  • Ensure project artifacts, decisions, and feedback are properly documented
  • Support change management coordination and workforce readiness tracking

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project coordination or project management experience in technology or public sector initiatives
  • Experience supporting software implementation or system integration projects
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Familiarity with agile delivery environments and project governance practices
  • Experience working with distributed teams and multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Public Administration, or related field
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification
