Job Description

Position:  Certified Petroleum Field Technician

Location:  NJ/PA area

Pay:  $25.00/hour + depending on experience.

Hours:  Mon thru Fri OR Wed thru Saturday OR Saturday thru Wednesday ** No On-Call **

Technical Service

 

  • Perform petroleum equipment service and installation calls in a professional, timely, and quality manner.
  • Complete job paperwork for each service call, at the time of service.
  • Act as a resource for customers; provide assistance and product support in order to maintain long term relationships.
  • Juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
  • Communicate skillfully and effectively in person or over the phone.
  • Be a team player.
  • Understand all aspect of the fueling system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot fuel system and find a solution to the issue.
  • Electrical knowledge or experience.
  • Consistent and timely follow through on projects and communication clients. Always maintaining a positive, helpful, and courteous attitude when dealing with clients and prospects. Treating all members of a clients’ business with the utmost respect while displaying a high level of respect for their property.
  • Takes responsibility for communicating progress, issues, concerns, in a timely and professional manner. Will communicate using all available means as to not hinder customer service or progress on a job with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain tools and equipment so that they are kept in good working order and are safe for use. Keep vehicles clean and orderly.
  • Consistently acts upon instructions from supervisor and uses good judgment in situations requiring independent decision-making.
  • Is self-motivated and demonstrates ability to fulfill job requirements with constant follow-up or supervision. Proactively seeks to self-educate.
  • Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner. Adheres to the Company Culture Statement.

 

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma/Equivalent
  • Must have Wayne and/or Gilbarco Certifications.
  • Verifone/POS system experience a plus.
  • 2-4 years’ mechanical, electrical, or computer operation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Service Manager, Director of Service, VP of Service, fellow technicians, dispatchers, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to work well in teams, pleasant/helpful/ optimistic,
  • Ability to adhere to the company policies & procedures.
  • Ability to perform manual labor.
  • Heavy lifting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling.
