Job Description

Position: Supply Chain Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: One Riverfront Plaza Corning, NY 14831

Direct client: Immediate interview

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm

Duties:

The person taking this role ideally would have prior experience in a Procurement function (with focus on sourcing, supplier onboarding and less on contracting/negotiations) and operational support. Although this is an operations support role, much of the role is not typical read Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)/perform function. SOPs exist but much of the day-to-day work is customer support (e.g., Q&A) for business processes.

The main part of the role is to support our Ariba system modules (Supplier Information Management, primarily) and Citibank global deployment/Q&A emailbox (day-to-day support of the credit card program is not in scope for the role but could be helpful). SharePoint experience could be a plus. It is assumed that this person have at least intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Manager Must Haves:

• Able to read/follow a SOP and process flowchart. The support role is based on these documents. A plus if the person can help update/maintain the documents as processes change.

• Process aptitude. Although this role is operational support with documented processes, there remains a high rate of change so this person will need to be able to learn the basics and keep up with the changes. Understanding and relating to business processes will make it easier for this person.

• Able to do basic Excel analysis if given direction. There is some level of data manipulation in the role – the person needs to be able to run a standard query and answer basic questions via editing of the query (e.g., sort, sub-total/formulas; pivot table is a plus)

• Professional written and verbal communications – as a portion of the role is to answer questions received in system / group email boxes, the responses should be clear, direct, and understandable to a global audience

• Appropriate judgment. The person will need to learn a lot in a short time. We realize this is a difficult task. Therefore, we will rely on this individual to speak up and ask questions when something is not clear or if something does not make sense. The GSM function appreciates people asking questions to ensure they respond correctly. Mistakes and misunderstanding cause confusion that can take significant time to correct.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a two year degree in a related field

• Bachelor’s degree in Business a plus

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar roll is highly desired
