Description

• Minimum of 5 years of IT Development experience in Java/J2EE and SQL 

• Must be a strong Database developer skills including Stored Procedures for Oracle, as well as Oracle PL/SQL. 

• Must be conversant with UNIX/Linux with UNIX scripting knowledge. 

• Knowledge of GIS tools/platforms including Oracle Spatial, , ESRI platform would be a plus. 

• Knowledge of DevOps tools including JIRA, Git/Stash, Jenkins would be a plus. 

• Knowledge of Java script and Python would be a plus. 

• Position requires the ability to effectively manage competing priorities 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Working as part of a team as well as independently 

• Ability to identify issues to leads and/or management while providing possible solutions 

• Responsible for defining, planning, and monitoring all application support activities for IT applications including trouble shooting, performance monitoring, recommendation of resolution, installation, training, and script/code writing 

• Responsible for the set-up and repair of facility-based, end-user infrastructure and resolution of desktop incidents and requests reported by facility users to the service desk
