Position: Engineer

Duration: 12 month
Job Description:
• Associates Degree, CCNA, and/or PMP are preferred.
• Must have circuit ordering previous work experience.
• The Engineer - Facilities position is responsible for engineering and administrative functions associated with provisioning of interconnection facilities throughout the Carolinas and TN Region.
• The engineering duties associated with this position include analyzing and selecting best backhaul/fronthaul solutions to address capacity and growth needs for IOF, entrance facilities, inter-switch trunking, and new technologies.
• In addition, the Engineer will be required to design/project manage the execution of corporate initiatives (new macro sites, small cells, in-building systems, etc.), installation of rings, multiplexers, and/or facility hubs as necessary to achieve design goals.
• The administrative duties include provisioning and tracking the facility requests within the region.
• This tracking will involve developing, maintaining, and improving network reports, and keeping the facilities inventory system XNG current and accurate. Finally, the Engineer will be responsible for monitoring financial aspect of the assets being deployed (CIP, PO creation, budget forecast, etc.).
• 5+ yrs relevant work experience to include hands on troubleshooting and restoration efforts and experience with AT&T and CenturyLink LEC ordering systems for TDM and EBH circuits.
• Familiarity with ordering/financial systems (TESS, PSFT)
• EXPERIENCE PLACING ORDERS ON BEHALF OF CUSTOMER INTO LEC SYSTEMS: AT&T WAO, AT&T WOS, WINDSTREAM VIRTUAL FRONT OFFICE, CENTURYLINK VIRTUAL FRONT OFFICE & FRONTIER VIRTUAL FRONT OFFICE IS PREFERRED.
