Job Description

Main Responsibilities:


Supply Chain Planning (SCP) tools Job qualifications.


NOTE: Candidates must be willing to do product configuration. If they are only interested in management and high level involvement, then this job is not for them. This is a hands on software configuration job. Individuals with the right mix of skills listed below will be trained on the software.


Recommended Skills:


• Ability to see the “big picture” for global optimized solution across all areas in the organization, such as campaign scheduling, outside contractor packaging, and distribution

• Inquisitive nature

• Ability to make decisions independently

• Ability to communicate convincingly and effectively with different parts of the organization

• Eagerness to take initiative in learning and applying new skills

• Ability to learn quickly and effectively

• Insight into both the business side and technological side of demand and operations planning, as well as scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Client’s business, but at the same time have strong analytical and computer skills to transfer the business knowledge into the SCP role effectively.

• Ability to function well in a high-stress integration-testing environment, while at the same time learning the new software


Recommended Qualifications:

• Computer skills: Excel, Access & Oracle/SQL (beginner level), general MS navigating, strong Visio.  

• APICS Certified (CPIM) Recommended

• Experience in production forecasting, planning and scheduling


Education

• S&OP, Demand Planning/Advanced Scheduling – Bachelor’s degree in business, any engineering discipline, computer science, statistics or science. 

• Advanced Planning – Bachelor’s degree (post graduate education highly beneficial) in industrial/manufacturing engineering, math, operations research, or science.


Recommended Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience client industry in areas relating to demand planning, production planning, scheduling, logistics, business modeling (preferred), and manufacturing.

• Experience working with forecasting, planning & scheduling software.


• Demand Planning: Strong statistical forecasting background – Tournament Forecasting, Bayesian. 

• Advanced Planning: Very strong math knowledge, especially linear programming. Ex prior experience: Infor Advanced Planning, Manugistics, I2 or Aspentech.

• Scheduling: Prior experience with any Heuristics scheduling tool.
