Job Description

Our client is looking for Bioanalyst Position – with the good biological assay to produce ADME,LC-MS/MS, and analytical techniques experience!

The position involves helping to generate ADME in vitro data through bioanalytical support. Knowledge and experience with current analytical chemistry and instrumentation, such as LC/MS/MS, is required for this position. Additionally, analysis of this data will be a key aspect of the role. The position is within a highly matrixed group and teamwork is essential. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ADME Assays: Perform biological incubations with test compounds in plate formats with ADME-specific reagents and liquid handling equipment. 

• Bioanalytical responsibilities: The primary role of the bioanalyst position is to provide quantitative analysis of new chemical entities for various in vitro ADME and biology assays in support of early drug discovery portfolio.

• This colleague would perform in vitro sample preparation; sample analysis; data review, processing, and uploading; and communication of the bioanalytical results to partners from multiple groups.

• This bioanalyst is expected to deliver efficient and high quality bioanalytical support under challenging service level agreements (SLA).

• Other Duties: Basic instrument support include monitoring reagents and disposing of waste.

  

 


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

• Must have at least 3 Solid years of experience.

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in chemistry, biochemistry, or related disciplines; prefer focus on analytical chemistry

• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

• Experience with current bioanalytical science and instrumentation (notably LC/MS/MS) is required including good understanding and knowledge in current quantitative analytical methodologies especially chromatography and mass spectrometry, and hands-on experience on those technologies are highly preferred. Basic knowledge of analytical instrumentation and lab automation are needed as this colleague would work with both commercial and specially customized instruments and automation systems.

• Experience in an industrial lab where data is produced on a recurring basis is a plus, but not required.

• Experience with in vitro biological assays is preferred but not required.

• Work environment: The person filling this position works in a laboratory that handles human and animal tissues along with Analytical chemistry equipment and infrastructure.

• There may be exposure to chemicals, and biological hazardous materials.

• Work will be conducted in both lab and office facilities.

• Educational background: Bachelor degree or equivalent in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related disciplines.
