Job Description

  • BS or higher in science related discipline, chemistry is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of products, raw materials, in-process materials, packaging materials, and quantitative assays on samples, to ensure quality standards and compliance with company standards, customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
  • Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from standard analytical equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation, aides in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.
  • Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies.
  • Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC; GC, UV/Vis, KF and FTIR.
  • Utilize electronic laboratory information systems such as LIMS and Empower for acquisition and processing of analytical data
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of USP, cGMP, and FDA regulations
  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems
  • Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
